Mailchimp helps small-business owners connect with their customers. We saw a chance for the brand to connect with those owners on a more human level.
So we built Mailchimp Presents, a platform of entirely original content: short films and series spanning a range of stories and subjects, all reflecting the real, emotional texture of entrepreneurial life. Not ads about the product, but stories for the people who use it.
The goal was empathy: a shared sense that the ups and downs of running your own thing are worth telling stories about, and that the brand telling them actually understands the life.
