A VR experience that lets you live the life of a fungus, from airborne spore to the vast underground network of mycelium that quietly sustains the forest above.
Life begins below. A mushroom is a door in the floor, and opening it reveals an endless underground network feeding the plants above.
Beneath our feet, microscopic highways of mycelium run for a million miles, an invisible system performing nature's alchemy and turning the many into one. Forager drops you into that world and lets you become part of it, from spore drifting on the air to mycelium spreading through the dark to a mushroom breaking the surface.
It is a piece about the systems we never see, the ones holding everything else up. Forager premiered at SXSW and made its international debut at Venice Immersive, part of the 2023 Venice Film Festival.
